Almost never. Hybrid traction packs are made of dozens of individual cell modules. When one or two modules fail, the rest of the pack is usually fine. We diagnose at module level and replace only what's needed — typically a fraction of a full-pack replacement cost.

Yes. We follow IMI Level 3 / 4 high-voltage safety procedures and use the appropriate isolation and PPE. EV battery work is one of the highest-skill areas in the trade — if a garage is willing to do it casually, that's a red flag.

We cover most mainstream EV and hybrid platforms at module level. Some very recent or heavily encrypted platforms may require specific tooling — we'll tell you on initial diagnosis whether your car is supported.

Diagnosis is typically a half-day. Module replacement on a hybrid pack is usually 1-2 days. EV traction-pack work can take longer depending on platform. Exact timing comes with the quote.
